July Reading Wrap-Up

 Introduction

Hey there, book lovers! How was your reading month? For my July Wrap-Up, July was good, but I have to admit, it didn’t quite measure up to the amazing reads I had in May and June. I devoured 16 books in May and 13 in June, but in July, I focused on Romantasy and ended up reading a total of eight books, including a couple of Romance novels and one Mystery/Thriller.

I’m excited to share that I gave four of these books five stars! I also rated three books four stars and one book three stars. On top of that, I enjoyed three audiobooks. One I loved was Daughter of No Worlds by Carissa Broadbent, which I got through the Libby app from my public library.

I also received an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) ebook of Growing Memories by Jaime Ryanne. I’m part of her street team for this release, which comes out Thursday, August 7th—so exciting! By the way, if you’re using the Kindle app, you can turn on Assistive Reader to listen to your ebooks, although, fair warning, the voice can sound a bit robotic.

July Wrap-Up: Romance Books

In July, I enjoyed two delightful romance reads: The Cottage by Terri Jo and Till Summer Do Us Part by Meghan Quinn. Both were such fun!

July Wrap-Up: Mystery/Thriller Books

I got a little thrill in my reading with one mystery/thriller: Not Quite Dead Yet by Holly Jackson. It was a five-star read for me—it was so good! If you’ve read her other books, you really don’t want to miss this one.

July Wrap-Up: Romantasy Books

For my romantasy fix, I dove into five enchanting stories: The Island of Dreams, Growing Memories, On Fell Dark Wings, Daughter of No Worlds, and Darker than the Starless Night. I rated Darker than the Starless Night and On Fell Dark Wings four stars, while The Island of Dreams got three stars. Meanwhile, Growing Memories and Daughter of No Worlds both earned five stars from me—absolutely loved them!

Conclusion

All in all, July's Reading Wrap-Up turned out to be a pretty decent reading month! I tackled eight books in total: three audiobooks, one physical book, and four ebooks, resulting in twenty-seven hours of delightful audio listening. With four five-star reads, three four-star reads, and one three-star read, I’d say it was a success! Did you read any of these titles? I’d love to hear about how many books you read in July, so drop a comment below!
