Hello, friends! It’s Christmas season, once more. I was engrossed in reading, and I find most of the books I’m reading on Kindle Unlimited.
The last book I read was Snow Place Like Home by Laura Pavlov. This book is a part of Amazon’s Home Sweet Holidays original series. It is less than 100 pages and was such a cute novella.
Goldie’s brother is getting married on Christmas Day, and the best man, Ace, is Goldie’s high school crush, and, she was his high school crush. One night is all it takes for them to become smitten. It is worth the read, and I will read more books by Laura Pavlov.
I am reading My Favorite Holiday by Lauren Blakely. This is a billionaire romance where the boss, Wilder, fake-dates his employee, Fable. Fable breaks up with her boyfriend on Thanksgiving.
Her sister gets engaged, and they decide to get married in the next couple of weeks on Christmas Eve, after the week-long Christmas competition. Brady, the ex-boyfriend, will be part of the wedding party; therefore, Fable and Wilder concoct a plan to be each other’s plus one. Their primary goal is to beat Brady at all the games, but also to show him how to treat a woman.
I am about 70% through the book, and so far it’s a brilliant book! The main reasons I started reading this book are the Christmas vibes, the storyline, the angst and tension, the winter wonderland, and that he would burn the world down for her. It’s spicy, but there are some laugh-out-loud moments for sure.
What will I read next? I am a mood reader, so I’m not sure what I’ll read next. Although I have a few books in mind. I may read another Christmas-themed book like The Christmas Bookshop, or I may change it up and read Brimstone by Callie Hart. If I go with Brimstone, I may reread Quicksilver first, so I don’t get lost and wonder what’s going on, especially since Quicksilver was read at the start of the year. I don’t reread books; however, I may make an exception. I guess we’ll see soon what’s next.
